The kids are eating the nutritious snack of boiled egg and tortilla that they get everyday. Some days it's a banana. Someone donated the money to provide this. The teachers say that after about 3 months of eating more protein, they definitely noticed a difference in the children's attention spans, time needed to capture ideas, attitudes, and general energy.	The teachers work together to make large calendars which they use everyday for sequencing, reading, math, and social studies. The calendar information is taught in Ixil and Spanish.
