They have a fantastic system with a lot of speed when the reception is good. They have opened it to the public in the afternoons and Saturday mornings. Traffic is slow at this point, but I think it should pick up soon. Salquil has a population of about 4,000 with many having family members in the states, so there should be enough demand, eventually.

 

The teachers decided this step into technology was extremely and therefore decided  to take out a loan to get this center opened. Moving forward with this project was a huge step for this group and is a great indication that they are forward thinking and willing to take a risk. Unfortunately, business is not sufficient for meeting their payment obligations. Soooo, they requested I request help in keeping the service going until the business traffic is sufficient to meet the payments. They are now searching for ways to solve this problem.

 

It's always difficult to accurately predict how much business to expect at the beginning of a project like this. This may be the most remote internet center in the country.
